How are magnetic domains arranged differently in magnetized materials and in material that is not magnetized?
Most materials are not magnetic because their magnetic domains are arranged randomly. Because electrons can not move freely from one molecule to another in those materials. This is unlike metals, were electrons can jump, due to the 'packing' of the molecules and the free orbits for electrons. Actually, all materials are magnetic, but I believe you are referring to the ferromagnetism here.
