people used to live in a religeous way, pray to God and thank God before they eat there food, and also educated to believe in God in schools, whereas now science is trying to prove religeous people wrong and turning lots of people into Atheists. Also now people have lots of things to do and think about God less. People used to think that the world is flat and it also said it in The Bible but we now know the world is round.

Regarding the religion of the Bible, it changes according to request / commands from Jehovah God.

When Jehovah tells people to build an ark for salvation - - then that's what they need to do.

When God tells people to cross the Red Sea, wander in the wilderness for 40 years; and then to take possession of the Promised Land; - - then that's their new form of worship. Building an ark for salvation would be useless religion.

When God tells his people to 'evict' people from the Promised Land - - then that's how we display obedience to God's commands. It required war, and killing them, since they wouldn't move on their own. That's what religion required at that time in history.

When God tells people to accept his Son Jesus as the Messiah that would bring salvation for mankind; - - then that's what people need to do as their new form of religion.

Religion from the God of the Bible, will ALWAYS change - - according to how God decides to change it.

Another Answer:

The question seems to ask for an impact of all religions on the history of man.

Globally speaking, as mankind has lost the knowledge of the truths of God, they have sought other ideas of 'god.' These include the mythological persons of the Babylonians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans to name the fundamental larger 'religions' and spread worldwide into India, China, Southeast Asia, and South America - all continents and all peoples/tribes/nations.

People are reared to usually follow their parents or communities religious ideas. As such, they tend to marry within their belief system. They view outside or different religious practices as wrong or harmful and have in the past, fought to eradicate them and include their former members into their religious practice. Some have even used 'religion' as a unifier of their kingdoms - consider Constantine and Muhammed as possible examples.

Larger religious groups have even begun wars with other peoples, killing and maming many innocents. In effect, wrong religion has divided mankind, destroying many and the potential of a better world. In modern times, one need only look to Northern Ireland (Protestant v Catholic) or India (Sikh v Mulism) or the present Islamic desire for world domination to list just a few of the all too many stresses between religions of the world.

The reader should note here that the Christ of the Bible came to teach us all how to avoid all this wrong doing by following His example. The Scripture says mankind will never do this as a whole and will eventually put the entire planet and all life in jeopardy. But God of the Bible will send His son Jesus once again to stop us before we accomplish this end and correct us in a Millennial Rule. IMO, there is hope yet.

Religion was very important during the Renaissance. This period is called the Renaissance because "renaissance" means "rebirth." The Renaissance was a time in Europe of renewed interest in music, art, religion, learning, and literature. You can see what a central focus Christianity was just by looking at the Renaissance art.

Regarding the religion of the Bible, it changes according to the theological and political circumstances of the time.

We know the Old Testament books were written and rewritten, then edited and redacted until they reached the form that comes down to us today. The predecessor to what is now the Book of Genesis originally began with what we now know as verse 2:4b and what is now the second creation story. God created Adam out of moist earth, then created the animals out of moist earth, then created Eve out of Adam's rib (or side). What God could not do is create living things out of nothing. The first creation story (Genesis 1:1-2:4a) was added after the Babylonian Exile by the Priestly Source. In this account, God was now almost omnipotent and simply spoke things into existence, without the need for substance to begin with. The presence in the same book of the Bible of two different and contradictory creation stories causes discomfort for pious readers, and Leon R. Kass (The Beginning of Wisdom: Reading Genesis) says that, believing that the text cannot contain contradictions, they ignore the major disjunctions between the two creation stories in Genesis and tend to treat the second story as the fuller, more detailed account of the creation of man (and woman). Cardinal George Pell spoke for many Christians, although not for his own Church in any offical sense, when he stated recently that the story of Adam and Eve is a myth, describing it as a religious story told for religious purposes. Several major Christian denominations no longer regard Adam and Eve as literally the first two humans on earth, living just a few thousand years ago.

It is only in recent decades that archaeologists and scholars have come to realise that monotheistic Judaism was really quite a late development, following a long history of polytheism. John Dominic Crossan (The Birth of Christianity) also says that rabbinic Judaism which evolved later in the first century, while claiming exclusive continuity with the past, was as great a leap and as valid a development from that ancestry as was Christianity.

For many Christians, one of the central tenets of faith is original sin, but this has never been accepted by Jews. Augustine of Hippo (354-430) developed the concept of original sin, saying it resulted directly from the disobedience of Adam and Eve. He believed that original sin could only be removed by baptism, so without baptism, souls could not go to heaven. Augustine's doctrine was never adopted by the Orthodox Churches and has largely been rejected by a number of Protestant Churches.

Another tenet of faith for most Christians is belief in the Holy Trinity, understood as three persons in one God: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. However, the earliest known proponent of the Holy Trinity was Tertullian, a Latin theologian who wrote in the early third century. The new concept gradually gained adherents throughout the third century but also faced opposition, particularly from Arius, a popular Libyan priest at the beginning of the fourth century. The Trinity was adopted as Christian doctrine at the Council of Nicaea in 325, but the Church remained divided until Emperor Theodosius made belief in the Trinity a requirement for all Christians, around 380 CE. Prior to this declaration, it was at times touch and go whether Arianism or Trinitarianism would be victorious, with the other doctrine declared to be heresy. The Holy Trinity supposedly has scriptural support in the 'Johannine Comma', 1 John 5:7-8 ("For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."), but that passage was never in the early Greek manuscripts. It appeared in the Latin translation of the fifth century, after the Trinity doctrine had been accepted by the Council of Nicaea and long after the time of Tertullian and Arius. Some relatively modern Christian denominations, including Jehovah's Witnesses have reversed the tide of history by declaring against the Holy Trinity, but even a reversion to earlier doctrines after centuries of Trinitarianism is change.

For Jews, Satan is in no way evil. He is the loyal assistant of God, tasked with testing the righteousness of the faithful. Christianity follows a different path, with Satan as the evil adversary of God. Jehovah's Witnesses introduced what appears to be a new doctrine, especially different to Jewish tradition, in which Jehovah decided to test the loyalty of humankind and prove to the rest of creation that Satan was a liar. Jehovah has set a time limit of six thousand years for this challenge (the period would have ended in 1975 - the year in which the Society expected Armageddon), after which, Jehovah's Witnesses will be rewarded for their loyalty to his divine plan.
