Remove wheels Re-Install 2 lug nuts to secure rotor Loosen 2 caliper mounting bolts Remove 1 caliper mounting bolt to allow caliper to swing out Remove outer brake pad Use "C" Clamp and inner brake pad to retract piston into caliper Install new brake pads (inner & outer) Remove 2nd caliper mounting bolt Remove caliper Remove 2 lug nuts and rotor should pull off Support caliper so it doesn't stress flex brake line After re-installing remember to PUMP BRAKE PEDAL TO SET PADS AGAINST ROTOR PRIOR TO MOVING VEHICLE
The front rotors are out of round or warped, Need to have the rotors turned.
It sounds like you have air in your brake lines. It sounds like you have air in your brake lines.
The front wheels have abs sensors if applicable. The sensors would be mounted to the spindles not the rotors.
They are behind the front rotors and you can't see them. But you can see were the electric wire goes in behind the rotors that hook to them.
First, remove the wheel. Then disassemble the brake calipers - two hex or star bolts located on the back which will require you to first remove the caps. Once the bolts are removed, the whole assembly should be able to slide of the rotors. Make sure you support the calipers somehow, do not just let them dangle from the connecting lines (They're fragile and can be easily be torn or pulled) Once the calipers are out of the way, the rotors are able to slide out. Remember to replace your pads if you're replacing the rotors, and bleed the brakes! I had a harder time bleeding the brakes after I did this than I did replacing the rotors.
abs sensor
take it to a qualified dodge mechanic
The minimum thickness for the rotors of a 2001 Mazda B3000 is 0.5 inches for the rear and 0.97 inches for the front. Falling below this threshold can result in poor braking performance.
The most likely problem is warped rotors. Have rotors turned or replaced. Replace front brake pads.
25 rotors. Cavaliers have 25 rotors on the car.
you need to remove the front calipers then remove two Phillips head countersunk screws that are in the middle of the wheel studs
all cars with abs breaks do this!! but if you feel it in the pedal then you have bad front rotors!!
