This can only be done in a Fiat garage (or so I've heard). My Fiat Panda, in Kwik-Fit where it was serviced, they said they couldn't switch it off and needed to go to them.
User manual (and my local FIAT garage) say this can only be done by a FIAT dealer
According to the doblo operating guide you have to take it to a fiat dealer to switch off the service light. I also asked my mechanic and he confirms this.
It is important to know what the warning lights on a car means. The Service light can be reset by fixing the problem within the car, or replacing its fuse.
If you buy a Fiat, you don't way to visit the concesination hay que joderse.

The new panda does not need this done because there isn't one on the active 1.1 and dynamic 1.2 models although it might be applicable to the multijet and 100hp models [I havnt checked ]..on some of the fiat cars such as the stilo/bravo/grande punto they have this and the car will need to be hooked up to an examiner to have the service counter reset..what people don't realise is they can also have this deleted permanently so it doesn't come up again in 12 months time after its reset..fiat will of course charge you for this service so its not free..
