Irregardless if you are opening your own restaurant or working for a major chain. Then your goal is to protect the bottom line while delivering great food and excellent quality. You have to manage staffing- hiring, retention, and training, all while observing Federal Laws for employment. Then you have to supply food, and equipment. You have to make sure that you order products to ensure quality, schedule daily or weekly deliveries to ensure freshness of products. You also must maintain all equipment so that it is working at capacity and properly. You must be aware of any local or federal requirements as pertains to licenses or certifications for every facet of your business. There are employment, building codes also special licenses may be needed if you serve ice cream or have a playground.
