You have a bad ground.

The sockets the bulbs go into have a reliabilty problem where the ground disconects inside.

If more than one light is doing this then the ground wire is not contacting the body or frame any more. Rather than crawl under the car for two hours trying to find the faulty conection I usually make another ground point myself.
