I am not sure what you mean by "special treatment." Every president has the right to choose an attorney general; it can be a man or a woman, a white person or a person of color-- it's entirely up to the president. Attorneys general are often controversial, and not everyone agrees with their priorities. But there is no evidence Eric Holder is getting treated any differently from other attorneys general, with the exception of a handful of Republican congressmen who have been very discourteous to him when they didn't like his answers during a hearing.
