Surveillance cameras should be used in schools as it may decrease the occurrence in criminal activity. Children and teachers are likely to feel safer in school and parents would benefit in the knowledge that schools have safety measures put in place to combat crime.

∙ 12y agoCameras should be in school halls because a lot of kids intend to lie about a fight or something that happened in the hallway in order to get out of trouble or to get their friends out of trouble.

∙ 11y agoStatistically, cameras are no deterrent to any sort of forbidden activity. They even seem to somehow encourage it at times (innate voyeuristic nature of people). What cameras do very well is to provide visual evidence that can be used in the discipline and if necessary the prosecution of those participating in forbidden or prohibited activities.
