This is a moot question. At the very end of WW II, the United States had built two nuclear bombs, both of which were ultimately dropped on Japan. That was all they had - a third one would have taken several more months to build. And World War II ended 66 years ago.
yes
Nuclear weapons
I am pretty sure the deployment of nuclear weapons on Hiroshima and Nagasaki did not affect global warming. There is no evidence to suggest that the deployment of nuclear weapons in the second World War affected global warming in any way.
So long as nuclear weapons and the motive and means to use them exist, yes
In a letter to the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the Communist Party of the Peoples Republic of China called for the destruction of all nuclear weapons. They were a threat to the world and a tool used by the imperialist United States to blackmail the world. Accordingly, the Party claimed the US used the threat of nuclear war to further their ambition of enslaving all peoples of the world and dominating the world. Currently China is ranked in the top five of nuclear powered weapons.
yes
No one should have nuclear weapons! I agree they cause nothing but problems. All they do is grant people power to kill and strike fear in the world. There is nothing good that can come from nuclear weapons.
fifth rank in nuclear weapons
If there are just enough nuclear weapons so yes they can destroy the World.
Two nuclear weapons ended World War 2.
There were no nuclear weapons in WW1. The nuclear bomb was not invented until WW2.
Egypt is not believed or suspected to have nuclear weapons, or a nuclear weapons program, at this time (May 2009). See Related Link for a discussion of the world's nuclear powers.
The government must keep up with nuclear technology with regard to weaponry for the simple fact that other nations are armed in like fashion. If we disarmed, other nations who have nuclear weapons would not (because some of them are really evil). We do "use" them (in a sense) to remind the despots and terrorists of the world that we have them. Failing to maintain armament superiority in the eyes of the world would be tantamount to being the kid who gets beaten every day by bullies in the school-yard. Nuclear weapons are (unfortunately) necessary to maintain peace and stability in the world today.
nuclear weapons
They can and will
In the most basic sense, proliferation of nuclear weapons is the spread of nuclear weapons and weapons usable technology in the world. In a much broader sense, it refers to the acquiring of capability to produce nuclear weapons, or weapons-grade nuclear material (high-enriched uranium, plutonium) by states previously not possessing them.
You should know, the world is still threatened by nuclear war. Every powerful country have nuclear weapons.
