A lovely , heart-felt card will do. A private , new in-laws only luncheon or dinner would be even better. Might as well develop what we hope will be a lifelong relationship, possibly with shared Grandchildren. Kids like it when all the Grands have a good relationship.

∙ 14y agoIf it was a traditional wedding and the Bride's parents paid for it themselves, yes, by all means, and take them out for dinner as well , as a get-acquainted or get-to-know- you-better gesture for some new familial bonding.

∙ 13y ago- No, it is not necessary to send a thank you note to the grooms parents for money spent for the wedding because by tradition in Westernized weddings the groom's parents pay for certain things while the bride's parents pay for other things.

∙ 12y agoDefinitely, if you tell the brides parents thank you, or just be complementing them, they would automatically think that you are a "charming young man" and they would be very grateful that you have married their daughter :)

i would. it would be the right things to do. no matter what you should send thank you cards to everybody who gives you a present. but if they are there just say thank you to their face.
