Should we panic about the ozone layer being destroyed and why?

No, we should not panic about anything as this blinds rational thought. We should treat "depletion of the ozone layer" as a symptom of our actions, and formulate intelligent responses to change those actions and mitigate Nature's reactions. The longer we wait, the more expensive the changes will be, costs up to and including the complete destruction of civilization or even the race of Man. The people we damn due to inaction are our children (no longer delayed to our grandchildren, it would appear).
