I personally think you shouldn't. Prayers are for thanking God for all the things you already have, and for realising that you are luckier than some unfortunate people, so I don't really think it would be wise to, however it is your choice.
Asking for things is part of prayer:
Php 4:6 Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart.
But there is a big difference between what you want and what you need.
The pledge of Alligence
You don't "make" your step mother do anything. Your best bet is to ask politely. When she politely declines, you should accept that, and move on to better things.
ask him that why should i answer, use your imagination
there is a law that you can only ask for certain things and what u cant ask for
you should ask him that...
Matthew 21:22 - "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."Mark 11:24 - "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."[NKJV]
We need to be prepared for prayer so that we know what we want to say.Jesus set the example by giving us what we call The Lords Prayer. This however was misinterpreted as being the prayer we should always say as many churches do now. In fact it was only a guide as to how to pray. If you remember the prayer starts of by addressing our Father in heaven. Then it goes on to thank Him for the things He has given us. We then ask Him for the things we are in need of, as the prayer askes "Forgive us our sins". We then close in the name of His son Jesus Christ. God knows what we are in need of, He just wants us to ask Him in the manner prescribed (Set down as a rule or guide) by His son.
If you are a Christian: In my personal opinion, I think prayer is a conversation between you and God. Of course you can ask from him, but I also think you should thank him for what he has done, and ask for guidance. So, I think prayer plays a role of a conversation between the person and God in their life.
you ask god for prayer maybe because you need it and he can help you.. You ask god because he loves you and will always be there for you
I think it goes something like this....can't recall myself, but I did love that song. I thought it was from the Janz team on their album If I Ask... ***** If I ask, for the things, that I, should not ask for; if I pray for things needlessly.. If I ask, for my self, and not, for my neighbour, lift this veil from my eyes--let me see... Chorus.. Not my will, Thine be done..pray Jesus. May this same prayer be mine, everyday... If I ask........[...] If I walk by sight, and not by the Spirit, if i live each day, just for me... If I care, not how, this poor world..is dying, lift this veil from my eyes--let me see.
Ask your parents, and also you have a brain, think about it yourself
To bless the food ("our daily bread") and to forgive you for what you did wrong ("forgive us our trespasses").
There is no Sin for missing your Friday prayer, but reconsile and ask for forgivess.
Ask Him Why He Did
Jesus himself is the best model for prayer. That's where we get The Lord's Prayer. "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name..." He told us that we should pray to our Father, not to Mary or the Saints; and that we should ask for forgiveness, and ask for what we need, even though he already knows! He prayed often, and preferred it to be a private conversation with God, not a show. We are meant to have a personal relationship with the Lord, like you would your father or mentor.
Prayer is considered a great gift from God that is extremely personal and powerful . Jesus made many guidelines on how we should pray. At Matt. 6:5-13 he guides what kind of things prayers should contain and gives us the model prayer or the "Our Father Prayer". Emphasis was also put on perseverance in prayer by Jesus and Paul and to not give up but to keep on asking. Faith goes hand in hand with prayer. It is not considered a one way conversation because God has already spoken to us through the Bible. If we then ask for his help to listen to him, he will help us to do so.
Maybe they don't want to hear the answer or maybe they don't want other people know that they are ignorant of the answer. It could also be that it is understood that it is a question not to be asked. Yes, question all worldly things.
