I would recommend installing adblock, yes.
Open Firefox (after downloading Adblock Plus from the add ons) Tools | Add-ons | Extensions | Press 'Options' on Adblock Plus | Filter | Add Filter Subscription
Use the Firefox Add-On, AdBlock.
I would suggest an Ad Blocker for your browser. If your using firefox for example, you can go to the firefox page and install Adblock for your browser. Then left click the image to see if it gives you the option to block it.
Click the command "U" and then click restrictions once the new windows appears. Then press "blocking options" then "URL" and then type in the URL.
If your using Mozilla Firefox 0.7 - 1.5.0.* or later you can install the add-on "Adblock Plus" https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 Once installed you can configure Adblock Plus by selecting: Tools, Adblock Plus Preferences..., Add Filter and insert the following under New Filter: files.go2web20.net^ Another Option is to Right Click on the "Follow" Badge itself, and select: Adblock Plus: Block (then your selection...E.g. "Block Image") from the shortcut menu, customize your block options, and the select Add filter.
If you have Firefox or Chrome installed, you can download Adblock Plus for free (just search it). I use Adblock Plus and have never had to watch a video ad on Youtube.
Most distribution have firefox installed by default. But if it isn't you can try type these into the command line: sudo apt[-get] install firefox sudo yum install firefox sudo dnf install firefox sudo aptitude install firefox sudo urpmi firefox sudo installpkg firefox.tgz sudo emerge firefox sudo pacman -S firefox
OR ONLY surf the websites with Firefox+Adblock Plus +noscript
You can download "Adblock" an ad blocking software for Google Chrome Directly from Google. If you are using Firefox you can download "Adblock Plus" from the site Mozilla Add-ons.
it works on mine --Mine, too...you might have cookies or javascript turned off. If you use NoScript or Adblock, you have to disable them for myspace to work in Firefox.
What I did was download an app called Adblock. Go to the Google Chrome webstore and search for Adblock and install it. Then download the Privacy Palette (Adblock + Security). There are also other options like always deleting cookies etc.
To utilize both, you can install Firefox and then install the 'Coral IE Tab' addon to use IE inside of Firefox's interface. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10909
