And if you are riding your horse in the lake you should use a halter and lead rope.
It depends on the severity of the cut. If it is a deep cut, if it bleeds when the horse moves too much, or if the horse limps from the pain of it, then no, you should not ride the horse. When a horse is too old to ride really depends on the horse. If it [the horse] is in good condition, it can ride up to age thirty-three.
