I have to admit I am very puzzled and what opposite sexes consider friendship and being lovers in a serious relationship. I've had male friends when single and we had great fun together without sex involved. I am not accusing you that you are having sex with this person, but, you did say 'committed relationship.' Keep your friends as friends and save the sex for the love of your life. If you haven't had a sexual relationship then no, it's not wrong to spend the night with your friend. You can always sleep in another bedroom or on a couch.

Can you still keep your friends while having a relationship?

If by "relationship", you mean you are in a committed romantic relationship with someone else, then of course you can. The key is to find a balance of time between your significant other and your friends. If you schedule a date night with your significant other on Friday night, go out with your friends Saturday night. Or, better yet, you can introduce your date to your friends, and you can all hang out together! It is very simple to keep your friends, but you must put in the effort.

Should guys who are in a committed relationship be allowed to have a night out?

Do you mean a night out alone, as in seeing a movie the other partner mightn't be interested in, a night out socially, with one or more friends, or a night out with an alternate partner?Assuming you don't mean the last possibility - a romantic night out with someone else - there's no reason anyone shouldn't enjoy a full social life regardless of whether or not their partner accompanies them.Sometimes a person prefers to spend time with particular people without their partner present. It'd be awful to have to go everywhere together, for example out with work colleagues of one partner who will all talk about subjects that the other partner might find as interesting as watching grass grow.Perhaps the choice of words, 'should [people in a committed relationship] be allowed to have a night out?' indicates possible confusion between the concept of a committed relationship and the concept of ownership.Any people in a committed relationship also have lives outside that relationship: lives which might involve work, social contact, family contact, friendships, and so on. All our contacts involve varying degrees of obligations towards others, as well as our desire or need to spend time with people other than our partner.A committed relationship means the parties in that relationship are committed to one another, implying each can count on the support of the other, which necessarily involves the presence of the other as a companion and also, when needed, for purposes other than companionship.A committed relationship doesn't imply that all other relationships, whether work, family, social, or other, come to an end when that partnership begins.Nobody should feel they are 'allowed' or 'not allowed' to have appropriate interests and contacts outside of their relationship, and nobody should feel they've the right to 'allow' or 'not allow' outside activities; any partnership based on that concept either won't last long or will be less happy than it should be and, ultimately, unsatisfying. When you commit to a partnership you're committing to a whole person, with all the qualities, flaws and interests which existed before the partnership began and might continue during and after that partnership. You can't expect someone to suddenly become a different person because they are now one part of a relationship. Some interests and friendships might change, or end, over time; this is normal and will occur regardless of any committment to a partner.A committed relationship should enhance the lives of those involved, not become a matter of ownership and restriction.

What is a controlling relationship?

A controlling relationship is this: When someone tells you, you can't go out with your friends and keeps you close to home. They alienate you from family and friends. They dictate what your personality should be and dictate to you how you should react to certain situations at all times. They are extremely jealous if you are talking to the same sex. If they wait up for you at night and demand an answer as to where you have been. They accuse you constantly of having affairs when you haven't. They swear at you, call you names such as "stupid" etc. Are physically abusive to you (and this includes shoving and pushing.) In general they have taken away your freedom.

Best friends with benefits?

Friends with benefits is when you have a friend who you routinely make out with and/or have sex with. It is casual sex, without the commitment of a serious romantic relationship.A friend with benefits comes by from time to time, usually late at night, to have sex and just hang out. They don't call you every night, or take you out to dinner, and you definitely don't meet their parents or anything like that.Basically, a friend with benefits is more than a friend, but not quite a boyfriend/girlfriend.It means in simple terms to make-out with your friend but not be in a relationship. In other terms you guys just make-out or kiss to your heart's content but they don't want a relationship.Generally, when someone says "She's a friend with benefits", they are referring to the fact that, although she may just be a friend and there is no further commitment, they are sometimes sexually intimate.Well, to be straight-up about it, it's basically a friend but no real relationship with him or her with sexual activities.Friends with benefits is when you have a friend, or friends and they are in a way 'more than friends' and you can do things, as such. Generally, because there is no commitment involved, is why people choose to do this.
