∙ 11y agoThe short answer is potentially, but certain underlying conditions (i.e. H. pylori infection or Alcoholism) or medications (prednisone) may make an ulcer more likely. However, higher doses for longer times equal a higher likelihood of complications, including stomach ulcers and bleeding. For most people, periodic ibuprofen use is very safe and likely safe for daily low dose. You would want to have your kidney and liver function checked if you use it for more than a few weeks twice daily though.

∙ 14y agoPeople on daily aspirin therapy use coated aspirin to prevent stomach bleeding. Ibuprofen does not normally cause stomach bleeding. A bacterium causes most stomach ulcers.
