NO NATION is at war with Iraq. Iraq is the restoration of law, order and stability to Iraq.
AMERICA WAS at war with North Vietnam.
Actually buddy I am a Marine and i fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are still keeping peace in Iraq. Afghanistan is our main priority right now. Vietnam or NVA or gooks that war was nothing like the war were in now. Vietnam didn't have the greatest technology and we (us) speaking didnt have good tech either. That's why so many men died in Vietnam. Afghanistan we worry about ambushes, ied's and rpgs and heavy machine guns. we have only lost 5000 men in this war and 58000 men died in Vietnam. Thanks but don't comment on something you have no clue about.
It's said the the wars going on in the Middle East are like Vietnam, both a bit of a lost cause. Vietnam was the first televised war and was a first for helicopters, I think. Both wars a bit of a power struggle to. Consider how much money would be introduced in to th e USA econmy if they win in the middle east. Vietnam was a fight against Comunism and to intervene with the domino effect. They are a like in some ways many things could annd can be aqquried with a win. I'm just glas the the SAS are pulling out next year. ITS STUPID
There are many similarities and some differences. Mainly, both are insugencency wars, and time is on the side of the insurgent (Viet Cong/Al Qaeda). For the Iraq War to be won, the new pro-Western Iraqi government must be able to stand on its own without help from the outside; something which the Republic of South Vietnam was never able to do.
The US was bombing North Vietnam, and the US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, and US Air Force was in mutual combat with the North Vietnamese Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The US is NOT bombing Iraq (as an enemy), and is NOT trying to destroy the Iraqi Army, Air Force, or Navy.
Said another way: The US was at war with North Vietnam; the US is NOT at war with Iraq.
i think there are a lot of comparison meaning that they both did somthing wong the difference now is the Iraq war are there in Iraq for the wrong reason so basically for no reason at all.
None. The US is not at war with Iraq. In Vietnam, the US was at war with North Vietnam.

The cold war,The Korean War, Vietnam, War, Desert Storm, and The Iraq war.
Some examples of wars between countries include World War I, which was fought primarily between the Allies (including countries such as Britain, France, and Russia) and the Central Powers (including Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire). Another example is the Falklands War, fought between Argentina and the United Kingdom over the disputed Falkland Islands. The Vietnam War is also an example, as it was fought between North Vietnam (supported by the Soviet Union and China) and South Vietnam (supported by the United States and its allies).
