Church Staffs and employees are not the same for every church. Here is a list of possible titles / Staffs:

  • Church Board -- Some churches have an organizational board.
  • Priest, Pastor, Preacher - Conducts worship services, performs baptisms, marriages and other ceremonies, and oversees funeral services; takes care of the congregation; performs community outreach; helps increase attendance and expand the membership. Must know The Bible, be able to communicate well verbally and in writing, and be a strong leader.
  • Church Secretary - Assists the Priest, Pastor, Preacher. Answers the phone, arranges appointments, keeps track of schedules, prepares bulletins etc.
  • Deacons
  • Acolytes
  • Committee Members
  • Congregation / Members
  • Janitor / Cleaning Person(s)

In Catholic churches and some other liturgical churches, the church area is called a parish and the person attending that church is a "parishoner". Some non-liturgical Protestant churches use this term as well, but most would use either the terms "congregant" or "member".
