It's so you can use your stereo speaker output wires to the amp without having to use RCA cables It should say High Level Input and you use it or RCA cables. Not both. If you plan on using the amp to power subs use RCAs. If you plan on running mids and highs you can use what you like. If your stereo has front and/or rear RCA outputs as well as sub output it's your call

If the wiring in your car doesn't connect right you can find harnesses on Amazon.com or at Circut City and you can always take them to a shop to be installed but it'll cost you. You can call Crutchfield for help too at the number on their site. If you wonder why I mention them so much you should know that Xplod speakers are made by Sony and Crutchfield's collaboration.
the remote wire goes into the back of the deck (head unit). it tells the amp to turn on when the deck is powered up, if you don't connect it it will continue to drain power from your battery.
probably 800 watts by 2 channels at least i had mine pushed by a 1200 watt sony xplod and they sounded great
