What are the other ways of disposing waste without harming the environment?
The best ways of disposing waste in an environmentally friendly way is to either let organic materials decompose naturally or to either recycle metals back into their original shape or to mix them into alloys. For example, if you scrunched up a coke can and threw it into a bin, the company could recycle it back into a new one, saving them money and us global warming.

Asked in State Laws, Washington, Same-Sex Marriage
What are some specific statutory differences between domestic partnership and marriage according to Washington state law?
According to statute, there is to be no difference other than that one is called "marriage" and one is called "domestic partnership." In the case of domestic partnership, the state issues a wallet size card which is not issued to married couples. The reason for the card is to help in emergency cases where there is less familiarity with domestic partnerships than with marriages. However, on June 30, 2014, all state-registered Washington state domestic partnerships that have not been dissolved by that date will automatically convert to marriages, regardless of where the parties to the marriage live. After that date, state registered domestic partnerships will only be available in Washington state to persons sixty-two years of age or older.

If you have a domestic partnership with someone can you marry someone else in New York?
Yes. Domestic partnership does not bar you from marrying someone else. When a person marries, they no longer meet the eligibility criteria for domestic partnership and any existing domestic partnership is automatically terminated. However, it is a good idea to dissolve any existing domestic partnership prior to marrying, if possible. Also, state-registered domestic partnerships in California, Oregon and Nevada are considered substantially equal to marriage by New York state. If your domestic partnership is registered with one of those states (not a local government within the state), then you must dissolve the domestic partnership before marrying in New York.

Generally the prevailing law is the state that the plan originates in. Example: A client of mine covered his domestic partner under his health plan. The company was sold to a competitor out of state. Are domestic partnerships legal in Massachusetts?
Same-sex marriage has been legalized in the entire state of Massachusetts as of May 17, 2004. There never was a state-wide domestic partnership registry. Nevertheless the City of Boston continues to register domestic partnerships. One other city and four towns used to have domestic partnership registries: Town of Brewster, Town of Brookline, City of Cambridge, Town of Nantucket, Town of Provincetown. It appears that they have stopped registering new domestic partnerships, although the ordinance recognizing domestic partners as spouses for purposes of municipal law is still on the books in Cambridge.
