Simon has an imaginary converstaion with the lord of the flies- at the start of the novel we are told that Simon faints and has epileptic fits - we think that this may be the cause of his delugional "converstaion" the irony is that the same night he sopke to the "lord" he is killed while being unable to tell the boys that the beast was really the paracutist ! the converstaion is one that links back to the devil and Satan etc.. because that's what lord of the flies mean's in these religions hope this helped x
