symbiosis in the rain forest is when two animals of different species have a special relationship in which at least one benefits from the other. there are three different types of symbiosis; mutualism, is where both animals benefit from the relationship. commensalism is where one animal benefits and the other doesn't care. parasitism is when one animal, or the "parasite" benefits from the "host" but the "host" gets harmed.
