I'm uncertain what you mean by "lower skull"...I'm guessing Brain cancer in the lower part of the skull/top of the neck.

My moms first symptoms were double vision and difficulty walking. She had to hang onto walls to keep her balance.

Later it turns to headaches/vomiting and odd, eratic behavior. Like seeing white mice running on the couch when there are none, or intently "watching" the TV even though it isn't turned on.

Personality changes and anger are common also. She fell often, especially if she was tired. A type of epileptic fit happened also.

The symptoms depend on the location and size of the tumor. Mom had 15 tumors so she had alot of symptoms.

Depends on the area the tumor is located. Could cause loss of senses, headaches, change in personality, irrationality, hysteria, hallucinations, there are a plethora of different symptoms. Sometimes there are even none.

Do the majority of the people with brain cancer live or die?

The brain cancer survival rate indicates the percentage of people with a certain type and stage of brain cancer who survive the disease for a specific period of time after their diagnosis. In most cases, statistics refer to the 5-year brain cancer survival rate. The 5-year brain cancer survival rate is the percentage of people who are alive 5 years after a brain cancer diagnosis, whether they have few or no signs or symptoms of brain cancer, are free of disease, or are having treatment for brain cancer. The brain cancer survival rate is based on large groups of people, and it cannot be used to predict what will happen to a particular patient. No two patients are alike, and brain cancer treatment and responses to treatment vary greatly.http://cancer.emedtv.com/brain-cancer/brain-cancer-survival.html
