He was referring to the Declaration of Independence (1776), which at the time he spoke was written 87 years ago (a "score" is 20, so four score = 80).

That was Lincoln's reference to the date of the Declaration of Independence. He used Biblical language to add gravitas, as he was not sure that the hastily-written Address would carry conviction.

A score is a word which means twenty years. So four score is four times twenty, or 80 years. then Lincoln said "and seven years ago" so 80+7 is 87 years.
