Computer Software
The operating system is the basic set of software needed for a computer to run. It allows all other software to be installed and allows that software to be used.
System software is a collection of programs and data that helps the computer carry out its basic operating tasks.
The basic application software runs the operating system or hardware that allows someone to work on a computer. They are also known as general purpose applications or productivity applications.
1. Provide a Computer Human Interface. (HCI) this allows the user to input data and read output information. 2. Include Software that controls the hardware. 3. Include basic software applications for the computer. (eg. Utilities.) 4. Provide an environment in which applications can be run. (eg. each applications runs in a separate window.)
The bus is used to carry signals from the CPU to and from RAM and the Hard drive. This is processed by the software. In essence the bus is the hardware interface and the software is the digital interface. Your BIOS (basic input output system) starts your PC and then hands over control to the operation system which then has the task to accept interrupt requests (IRQ's) from the hardware.
Human computer interface or graphical user interface is important:It allows every person to operate a computer easily. It makes using computer easy.It is laid in form of buttons and icon, which are easy to understand.Human computer interface is a platform where humans gives commands to computer. The basic idea behind all this is ease of use.
common features of most basic application software programs and describe the new interface introduced with 2007 Microsoft office software.
The interface in a microprocessor is an integrated circuit that performs the basic functions of the central processing unit. It enables a user to communicate with a computer.
