The blow motor was not working on your 94 Corsica and when I grounded it it took out the blower motor and the radio. Is there a circuit or relay for both?
You most likely blew a fuse and have a bad blower motor resistor assembly
Why won't the blower motor work in a 1995 Ford Contour even after changing the resistor fuse relay and the fan control switch?
Make Sure You Are Getting Voltage To The Blower Motor. If You Are Your Motor May Be Bad. Also Make Sure That The Blower Motor Is Grounded Also If The Motor Is OK & Getting Voltage. Clean The Paint From The Motor Housing And Where It Is Bolted To The Car Body To Get A Good Ground To Complete The Circuit. Best To You
Could be a number of reasons, including normal operation - if your car has Automatic Temperature Control or Semi-Automatic Temperature Control. Or it could be a problem with the blower itself or the circuit which runs the blower. Working on an AC system is generally not a do-it-yourself task, and there are several reasons why. I'd recommend you have a shop take a look at it.
How do you determine if the heater blower switch or heater blower motor is bad on a ford 2002 crown Victoria?
You can unplug the blower motor and run a jumper wire to test the blower motor. If it is grounded through the plug you'll have to run a ground wire to it also. Blower Motor tested good. The Problem was the Blower Motor Controller which was located on the firewall just below the Heater Hoses. Thanks for responses to question.
If you replace the resistor on the blower motor on 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee but still get only high speed or nothing from blower is there another possible cause?
If the fan runs only on high then it is probably the blower motor resistor, and not the blower motor itself. This is pretty standard in any vehicle. It should be located somewhere near the blower motor. -------------------------------------------- There are two circuits that power the blower motor. A relay switches between the two different circuits. The high speed circuit suplies battery voltage to the blower. when you set the blower speed switch to any other…
blower moter coil windings shorted, motor spinning too slow than normal (increase current draw), short circuit in wiring, excessive amp or current draw in blower circuit than what is protected by amp rating fuse for that circuit. maybe even having too many loads (electrical devices on at once) especially if all these devices are connected in a parallel circuit and power is bridged.
The blower on your 1999 DeVille heater stopped working how can you determine if it is the blower or the control circuitry?
Either than switch, the resistor, or the relay is bad. On my 1999 Buick Century, the blower motor quit working on the three lower speeds, and then went out completely. When the resistor goes bad, the lower speeds quit working. My blower motor was squealing, also. After I replaced the blower motor and the resistor, I tested it and found the blower worked great on every speed but high. It turned out that there is…
