Remove bulbs and check sockets for short to ground
Check wiring for short
That the lights need fixing maybe?? That the lights need fixing maybe??
You have a "Hot Wire" some place that is shorting out. You need to start following the wires to see if you can find the short.Remove the Brake Light assembly and start there, working your way forward. Sounds like flasher is defective and will soon need to be replaced
I have a 1983 GMC Sierra it has no dash, tail lights an brake lights are very dim
check the ground for the lights
Usually means there is a short to ground somewhere in the lighting wiring.
check the fuse box for a blown fuse.
98 sierra1500 4x4 all lights work excepttail lights fuses are good bulbs are new
There is probably a reverse light switch on the transaxle that is bad or unplugged
check the earth connection at the lamp clusters
If fuse is ok, could be a bad headlight switch
Perhaps fixing the ground wire for the passenger side on the 2000 Chevy S-10 will require that the driver's side ground wire also be fixed in order to have the brake lights work properly. There has to be a short somewhere in the wiring for the lights to go off.
