1991 240sx what type of fluid do you use for the clutch My pedal goes to the floor. car sitting a while. And where do I replenish it.?
To adjust the clutch pedal height in the Peugeot 307 locate the adjuster bolt on the floor under the clutch pedal. Loosen the bolt and pull out the pedal to the proper height then tighten the bolt. To make the clutch pedal lower for the operator simply push in on the clutch pedal while the adjuster bolt is loose, then tighten the bolt.
Brake fluid is running down the clutch pedal and when you mash the pedal the pedal remains on the floor?
Would the clutch pedal going to the floor and staying on the floor be just the clutch going out or what could it be if so and how do you replace the clutch on a 2001 Maxima?
If the pedal just randomly falls to the floor, you probably have a broken pedal or linkage. If we are talking about it having no resistance when you press it and the clutch not disengaging, you probably have a leak in your clutch hydraulics. This can be a bad master or slave cylinder, or a leaky line. Bleed the clutch, and then keep checking the fluid daily to see if you are losing it.
Why wont clutch disengage Replaced clutch on 92 240sx after trans swap and clutch will not disengage Cylinders are moving and fork is moving what else could it be?
You've blown a clutch hose by the sound of it, or you've got a leak in the clutch master or slave cylinder. Either way, without clutch fluid, the clutch pedal wont come off the floor and the clutch will be disengaged. Any half decent mechanic should be able to figure out what the issue is without charging and arm and a leg.
yes but you will need to swap over these parts. - 5-speed transmission - 5-speed crossmember - 5-speed driveshaft - Flywheel and MT bolts (marked "MT") - Clutch and pressure plate - Release bearing - Master and slave cylinders - Hardlines and rubber line from master to slave cyl. - Clutch pedal - Brake pedal (optional, can cut the automatic break pedal) - Boots and brackets for shifter assembly
The clutch wont engage on your 1990 Nissan 240sx and the pedal sucked to the floorboard what is the easiest way to fix this problem?
The clutch pedal dropping to the floor indicates no pressure to hold it up. In a hydraulic system the master cylinder or slave cylinder have either gone bad or the fluid is too low. If fluid is low then air has gotten into the lines preventing the pressure from operating the clutch. This can also be caused by a broken arm attached to the pedal.
Your clutch pedal on your 96Nissan 300ZX sticks to the floor and will not shift into gear you generally drive barefoot and used to be able to pump the clutch pedal a few times and it appeared to help?
your fluid is leakin or low and you have air in the system. fix the leak and bleed it. check for a blistered paint trail below where your clutch master cylinder bolts to the fire wall,,,,,if good check the short rubber hose at right frame rail to clutch slave at transmission,,,,,and check all hard lines for rusting through
Why is my clutch pedal stuck to floor after installing new clutch master cylinder on a 1983 Nissan truck?
u must bleed the system . fill the clutch master cylinder with dot 3 brake fluid and keep an eye on it when bleeding so it wont run out ,have someone pump clutch pedal 3 times and hold to floor and oper bleeder valve on clutch slave cylinder till no air comes out then go to clutch damper and do the same ,follow clutch line fromclutch master cylinderto damper.
