Polonius arranges to overhear a conversation between Hamlet and his mother. Hamlet arrives and starts giving his mother a hard time. She cries out; Polonius cries out; Hamlet stabs and kills Polonius. Hamlet keeps on giving his mother a hard time. The Ghost shows up and tells him to lay off, but when the ghost is gone, Hamlet continues lecturing Gertrude then leaves dragging the corpse of Polonius.
In Scene 1 the King and Polonius plan to spy on Hamlet when he talks to Ophelia; Hamlet entertains them with the "To Be or Not to Be" soliloquy then has a fight with Ophelia in which he tells her to get to a nunnery. He then leaves; Ophelia thinks he is crazy; Polonius thinks he is in love; Claudius doesn't think either. In Scene II Hamlet tells the actors how to do their job, then asks Horatio to watch Claudius during the play, which is enacted and Claudius storms out in the middle of it. Hamlet gets all gleeful with Horatio as clearly the Ghost was telling the truth. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern come by to tell Hamlet that his mother wants to see him, and Hamlet abuses them. In Scene III Claudius tells R & G that they must go to England with Hamlet, and agrees for Polonius to spy on Gertrude's interview with Hamlet. Being left alone, Claudius attempts to pray about the guilt the play has reminded him of; Hamlet comes by but won't kill him because he wants Claudius to go straight to Hell. Instead in Scene IV he goes to his mother's room, starts browbeating her, hears Polonius spying and stabs him to death. He keeps on browbeating when he is interrupted by the ghost who tells him to lay off. When the ghost is gone, Hamlet continues to lecture Gertrude and the Act ends with him dragging off the corpse of Polonius.
To put the plot points in order someone will need to know what they are. Since the points are not given a person would not be able to know what the answer is.
Disney based the Lion King loosely around the plot of Hamlet- missing some vital plot points nevertheless.
Hamlet is about a young man (Hamlet) who is told by the ghost of his father that Hamlet's uncle and stepfather murdered him. Hamlet acts crazy while waiting for the right moment to kill his uncle, but his uncle is spying on him and guesses the truth. In the end the uncle's plot to kill Hamlet almost succeeds, but before he dies, Hamlet completes his revenge.

They serve a more serious purpose. They are used by the King to spy on Hamlet, that's hardly comic relief. (Even though their fate was funny and well-deserved)

Dude slept with my mom.
The main plot is the revenge plot. Hamlet learns his father was killed by his uncle; he pretends to be crazy to get close to Claudius and does eventually kill him. There is a subplot about Ophelia. There is another subplot about his relationship with his mother. There is yet another about his relationship with Rosecrantz and Guildenstern.

If we take it that Hamlet killed Polonius believing him to be the king, and therefore as a part of his plot for revenge, then Polonius's death, and indirectly Ophelia's arise from his act of revenge. Claudius of course dies from Hamlet's revenge. Gertrude, Laertes and Hamlet die as a result of Laertes and Claudius's plot. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern die just because Hamlet doesn't much like them.
Hamlet is told by the ghost of his father that he was murdered by Hamlet's uncle Claudius who is now the king and Hamlet's stepfather. In the process of pursuing his revenge, Hamlet kills Polonius, Claudius's counsellor and the father of Hamlet's girlfriend Ophelia. Ophelia goes mad and dies, and her brother Laertes comes vowing vengeance for his father's death. Laertes and Claudius plot Hamlet's death, but although Hamlet is mortally wounded, their plot misfires, killing Hamlet's mother and Laertes. Hamlet kills Claudius before he, too, expires.
William Shakespeare was in many of his plays as characters with smaller speaking roles but quite important to the plot for example he played the ghost of the old king hamlet in Hamlet and he played Malcom in Macbeth sometimes.
