A Cabinet appointed by the president.
Legislative:
264 seat Advisory Council,
454 seat People's Assembly.
Judicial:
Supreme Constitutional Court.
The ancient Egyptian government was a monarchy for several thousand years. The last monarch to rule Egypt was Cleopatra. During most of its existence the ancient Egyptian monarch had the title of Pharaoh. After the death of Cleopatra, Egypt became part of the Roman Empire.
