the second crusade
To recapture the Holy Land.
Reclaim Jeurusalem in the name of Christendom.
The goal was to recapture the Holy Land (Palestine) from the Seldjuk Turks. The Turks had defeated the Byzantines in 1071, and took Jerusalem. They persecuted the Chistians. So, the Crusades were military expeditions fought by the Europeans to win back the Holy Land. The First Crusade was called by the Pope (Urban II). The Crusades successfully captured Jerusalem in 1099 and massacred its inhabitants.
Most of the Crusades into the Holy Land had one expressed purpose: To take it (namely Jerusalem, but the region as a whole) back in the name of the Catholic Church. There were also many Christians under Islamic Rule, so the Crusade's secondary goal was to free them.
There was no clear goal in this crusade
none of them. the fourth crusade was probably most successful in capturing Constantinople, it was not the initial goal of recapturing Jerusalem.

The fourth crusade influences us in many ways. One way shows that to get to your goal do not get side tracked by other things. Focus on the main goal
Pope Urban II launched the first crusade in 1095. The goal of the first crusade was to regain the land taken by Muslim conquest in the 7th century.
Crusade for Justice.
The Third or Kings Crusade began in 1189. This was an attempt by Europeans to recapture Jerusalem from Saladin. Although some of the Holy Land was recaptured, the Third Crusade fell short of its goal and failed to recapture Jerusalem.
The main goal of the crusades was basically to take back the holy land, or Jeruselum, back from the Muslims. After this was completed, the crusade was basically used to conquor opposing religions and spread Christianity.

This approach can lead to biased reporting as the journalist is focused on promoting their cause rather than providing objective news coverage.
