Yes. And higher frequency means higher pitch.

It is not pitch that produces loudness it only accentuates tone/

Loudness is controlled by volume of output.

Neither - they are both the same amplitude, which is typically interpreted as "power". A larger amplitude will have greater "power" in that it will sound "louder".

What is the relationship between a waves frequency and its energy?

The greater the energy, the larger the frequency&the shorter (smaller) the wavelength.Given the relationship between wavelength&frequency - the higher the frequency, the shorter the wavelength-it follows that short wavelengths are more energetic than long wavelengths.

Why does a wave with a large amplitude carry more energy than one with small amplitude?

It is the same as why an object at higher place had more energy than one on the floor. Energy is the difference of potential, for kinetic energy example it is the height, greater height is greater energy. For the wave, energy could be stored in amplitude and frequency. Low amplitude or no amplitude is no energy and any amplitude higher than the zero amplitude would have more energy.

What is the relationship between energy and wave amplitude?

Not really much of a similaritiy there but FREQUENCY and energy there is. the higher the frequency the greater the energy I guess it could be the same with wavelenghth though

What is the relationship between frequency and energy-?

the higher the frequency the higher the energy

What is the difference between loudness and pitch of sound?

Amplitude versus frequencyLoudness is a function of the sound wave's amplitude of the sound pressure. Aour ear drums are moved by the sound pressure. The greater the amplitude, the greater the volume. Pitch is related to its frequency. The higher the frequency, the higher the pitch.Loudness = amplitude of the sound pressureSoftest soundLoudest soundPitch = frequencyLowest pitchHighest pitch

What are the two elements of sounds?

Sounds, which are mechanical energy, vary in both frequency and amplitude. The pitch of a sound, the "highness" or "lowness" of that sound is a function of its frequency. Higher frequency equal higher pitch. The amplitude of a sound is the sound energy or "loudness" of the sound. The higher the amplitude of the sound wave, the more energy in the wave and the louder it is. source, medium and sender

When A wave transfers energy true or false?

The answer is true. The greater the energy the greater the amplitude.

How does energy affect the intensity and amplitude of a wave?

The frequency and the amplitude are related in such a way that, the greater the amplitude the greater is the energy. The sound pressure amplitude tells about how loud the tone will be and the frequency (cycles per second) of the oscillation tells how high the sound of the tone will be. The amplitude gives the loudness of the tone: See link below The frequency gives the pitch of the tone: See link below

Waves with the greater amplitudes carry MORE OR LESS energy than waves with smaller amplitudes?

Wave with higher amplitude carry more energy than wave with lower amplitude. For simple consideration, no amplitude is no wave and thus no energy but just a flat surface of water. Wave with amplitude must have higher energy than the no wave.

Explain why the energy of infrared waves is greater than the energy of radio waves?

The energy of infrared waves is greater than the energy of radio waves. This is because infrared waves has a smaller wavelength compared to radio waves. The smaller the wavelength, the higher the energy.

Pitch is to frequency as loudness is to?

Loudness depends on the amplitude. square of amplitude is proportional to the loudness. Pitch is decided by the frequency. One can sing at higher pitch but at lower voice.

How can you show the difference between pitch and loudness?

In terms of a wave, the pitch of a sound is determined by its frequency, which is also in inverse proportion to its wavelength. The loudness/volume of a sound is determined by the amplitude of the wave. Both higher frequency and higher amplitude signify more energy in a wave.
