The height you install a basketball bracket at depends on a number of factors. 1) Do you want to play using the official NBA height, or lower it so you can dunk, etc... 2) Does your hoop support that height? The official NBA height is a nice, standard height to use.
The sheave height is the distance between the shortest distance from the tip of the sheave (commonly called a "boom") and the ground. It is common to discuss the sheave height with respect to a piece of equipment and get a number which is the maximum sheave height.
from trigonometry - (you'll need a table or calculator) - the "tangent" function is the ratio of the opposite side of a right triangle to the base. in your example, the opposite side is the "height" of the tower, the base is the "distance you're standing from the tower", and the angle is measured from where you're standing to the top of the tower. alternately, without having "tangent" tables or a calculator, you can make 2 triangles using something of a known height (a 1 meter stick, or something else) - create a 2nd triangle using the "object of known height" with the same incidence angle as the tower and measure the distance from you to the "object of known height" and the distance from you to the tower. the height of the tower = (height of known object) * (distance to the tower) / (distance from you to known object)

In the worst case a binary search tree is linear and has a height equal to the number of nodes. so h=O(h).
It depends on the building code of your country
you count them :D

It depends upon a number of factors, among them being the height of the building.
A parking "building" is similar to a parking garage, in which a number of floors are connected by ramps which can be driven on in an automobile to find parking. the difference between a garage and a building is that a building is generally completely closed in on most floors.
The average height of a building is the height of every building in the world added together then divided by the number of all the buildings in the world. This would be a very difficult number to find as it is constantly changing.
it is 523,623
The Bible does not specify an exact height (or number of stories) for the Tower of Babel.
People took the stairs Building height was limited by the number of floors people could be expected to climb up or down on the stairs

Officially the Empire State Building has 102 floors but unofficially has 104 floors. I know this for a fact because I have been on floors 103 and 104. I have even circled floor 103 - on the outside.104. Floor 104 is the dome. There is a ladder on 102 to 103 and another ladder from 103 to 104.Floors 103 and 104 are not official floors since they are utility floors and are not available to the public.Accordingly, the Empire State Building has 102 floors officially and 104 floors unofficially.Floors 103 and 104 and "floors" 90- 101 inside the mooring mast are not regarded as floors according to officials of the building because they contain utilities. In fact, half the floors inside the mast don't even exist; the other half can best be described as "platforms" composed of steel gratings. I know this because I have seen them and stood on "floor" 97. The elevator operator told me, when I questioned him about the number of floors, that every 12 feet of height is considered a "floor" whether or not it exists.Incidentally, when the mast was under consideration for docking air ships, what is now floor 103 was then floor 102. Since that proposal never materialized, 102 became 103, 101 became 102, etc.Read more: How_many_floors_does_the_Empire_State_Building_have
I'm certain that there is some type of requirement of that type. Local building codes are seldom (if ever) available on-line. Contact your local building code enforcement office.
