What are the example of dipole-dipole interaction?

the interaction between the hydrogen of one molecule and the partial negative atom of other molecule is called dipole dipole interaction

What is the relationship between a polar molecule and hydrogen bond?

Polar molecules have a dipole moment and they have intermolecular forces that include dipole-dipole interaction. A hydrogen bond is the attraction between a hydrogen bonded to N, O, F atom with N, O, F lone pair. Small molecules that exhibit this effect are HF, H2O and NH3. The example molecules are all polar. The hydrogen bond interaction is stronger than a normal dipole-dipole interaction.

What is a hydrophobic bond?

There is no such thing as a hydrophobic bond, It is a hydrophobic force. These forces come about when two areas of 2 different molecules containing hydrophobic sections come close together. like in protein's the hydrophilic sections come together to form bonds and the hydrophobic sections come together and so are seen as bonds but in reality they are not bonding but are just brought together to keep the hydrophobic parts away from aqueous environment (see lipid bi layers as an example)

What does 'metal basis' mean?

The term "metal basis" indicates that the purity of the product is determined by the metal content of the material. For example, the metal content of a material that is 4N indicates that 99.99% of the metal present in the material is of one metal element.

Differences between ferrous and non-ferrous metals?

The word "Ferrous" indicates "Iron". Ferrous metals are metals which are made up of iron. For example, Carbon steel, Wrought iron, Stainless steel and Iron itself. Non-ferrous metals on the other hand are metals which do not have any iron content in them. For example, Nickel, Lead, Brass, Copper, etc.

Yes. Laws are not meant to enforce ethics or to regulate every area of human interaction. For example, it is legal to lie to your spouse. That's certainly not ethical.

What are some ecological example of a refuge?

(1) In a well-mixed population, the predator quickly finds prey, the prey disappear, and the predator soon follows. (2) By increasing the space between population subunits, the interaction between the predator and prey is prolonged. (3) By slowing the movement of the predator, the interaction between the predator and prey is prolonged. (4) By adding habitat patches that don't support prey, the interaction between the predator and prey is prolonged. (5) By adding barriers to predator dispersal, the interaction between predator and prey is prolonged.
