Meat and boiled vegetables (potatoes and cabbage) would probably the most common traditional main dish. Something a little more upmarket might be "Beef Stroganoff". Borshch which is a beetroot soup with little bits of meat in it, and probably Shchi which is a cabbage soup is about as traditional as it comes. There are a lot of regional variations of Borshch.
