It took the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin, 90 minutes to complete an orbit. That is 1/16th of a single day. The space shuttle and the ISS take the same amount of time to orbit the earth.

It takes the moon around 27 days to complete an orbit of earth. So to answer your question, it varies and/or depends.

Ostensibly, one complete orbit around the sun is completed every 365 and 1/4 days--but realistically, this will vary due to change in the elliptical path the Earth takes around the sun, among several other key considerations. Go to an astonomy site--they are fantastic!
