There could be several causes for this type of problem: 1) The power window up portion of the switch is not functioning or wiring is loose at the switch and or motor. 2) The motor is failing and is not providing enough force to raise the window or is off-track and inding. To check this condition lower the window , then grasp the window and when the up button is pressed assist it(leave enough space to ensure you do not pinch you hand.in the window frame) if the window motor operates and the window begins to rise the window could be binding or the motor replaced. in either case the door panel will need to be removed the electrical switch and motor are tested and the mechanical operator and track inspected for proper operation.
in my trail blazer i took the whole switch assembly apart and discovered that a miny diode had fried. It is a matter of replacing the switch assembly.
most likely the drivers master switch is bad but befor you replace it check you power and ground wires that connect the door to the body
caravan's have a plastic cogged track that easily breaks over time. When it breaks the window track will travel down but broken will not pull back up. This is so common HELP sells a new Chrysler window track for 12.99 but have fun, working inside doors are always awkward.
find out if u have power to the switch. It seems to me that if the power locks work then there should be power at the switch . try opening the driverside door and look at the rubber accordian looking object.inside of it is the wires that power all the window and lock switches. turn the ignition on and lightly grab the accordian and wiggle it around alittle bit while pushing the up driverside window button... did it do anything? If no you need to open up the accordian and check for completely broken power wires.. Because after a while of opening and closing the door it will crack the wires to what extent only depends on the amount of use of the door. And the drives door is the main door for all the power option controled but the driver... good luck, Im working on one right now with no replacement parts available! waehomeboy
There is an electric motor that drives a geared pulley which is attached to a sliding bracket attached to the window. Most of the time the cable jumps off due to dry or binding window/channel. There are rubber spacers in the gear attached to the motor that deteriate in the heat and crumble. You can buy a new gear kit and replace it.
A power window relay switch relays the power from the car's battery, to the switch itself, and then to the window motor. When pressing the button inside of the car it allows the power to go from the relay switch to the motor and roll the window up or down.
If you mean the extra switch on the drivers side power window control it cuts power to the passenger side window switch. Handy if you have kids.
the switch is on the door panel approx four inches from the window, this is the only switch that sends power to the window regulator motor (window motor).
Defective passenger power window switch. It is stuck in the down position. Raise the window and immediately disconnect the switch until you can replace it.Defective passenger power window switch. I was informed by my local dealership that after power is loss (disconnecting from the battery), using the switch at the window in question - take window down to lowest level and then bring it back up to it's highest level and hold the switch until you hear a 'click'. This process returned the passenger's front window remote control to the driver's switch for me.
If it looks the same it will probably work.
NOTE: Anytime the battery terminal has been disconnected, please initialize the driver's door power window and front passenger's door power window after reconnecting the battery terminal. With ignition switch in the "ON" position, do the following: 1. Push down and hold the driver's door power window switch to completely open the window. 2. Pull and hold up the driver's door power window switch until the window closes. Continue holding the switch for approximately one second until the switch changes from blinking to a constant illumination. 3. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch open and close" function by fully pushing the switch briefly to the "DOWN" and "UP" positions. At this time the power window switch for the passenger's door window should be blinking. 4. Push down and hold the passenger's door power window switch to completely open the window. 5. Pull and hold up the passenger's door power window switch until the window closes. Continue holding the switch for approximately one second until the switch changes from blinking to a constant illumination. 6. The led light in the window switch is not replaceable. It is only serviced with the entire switch.
The 1994 Chevrolet Camaro power window relay switch can be found inside of the driver side door. You will need to remove the door panel to access the power window relay switch.
check to see if the window switch of the driver's side is getting power, if you are getting power to the switch and the switch is sending power out to the motor but the motor is not responding the motor needs to be replaced
How do I replace the power window switch on 1977 Corvette coupe
Reset the left rear door power window by removing the power window motor and connect both the motor and the power window switch to the vehicle's wire harness. Turn the ignition switch on and it should be able to reset.
