-sincerely,
disappointed.
That is for the US people to decide.
The president may not have enough power. For instance, he still has to run most of his ideas through the other branches of government.
It the US president had power to add things to the US constitution, then they could indefinitely extend their power, making them a dictator. The constitution limited the president's power to prevent such a situation from occurring, knowing too well the dangers of unchecked power in one man's hands.
A idiot that had too much power
the founders and writers of the us constitution did not want to give the president too much power so instead they gave that power to congress for a group of people to decide on not just one person
The Twenty-second Amendment of the Constitution, limiting a US President to two elected terms, was ratified in 1951. This was done after Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected to four successive terms as President, to prevent the Executive Branch from holding too much power.
The US Supreme Court and the US Congress.
NO. The Anti-Federalists who opposed the US Constitution were angered that the Constitution gave too little power to the states and too much power to the federal government.
The executive power of the US was given to the president.
The President.
Cost too much/ineffective (too low power)
No one in the government ranks above the president. I suppose you could say he reports to the US people. Congress has the power to remove him from office if strays too far from proper conduct of his office.
