unlock your front hubs
i have a 1989 chevy blazer gos in 4x4 drive but front wheels are not pulling wat do i do about that
Side of van along the frame Behind front wheels and in front of rear wheels Side of van along the frame Behind front wheels and in front of rear wheels Side of van along the frame Behind front wheels and in front of rear wheels
If it doesn't have manually locking hubs on the front wheels, It means it's a "constantly" locked front 4x4. You don't have to lock them, they already are.
If the back wheels slip / spin it automatically will transfer some of the power to the front wheels
Transfers power to the front wheels when engaged.
If 4-wheel drive is not needed, you should unlock the front hubs. Yes, the hubs remain locked even if your front transfer case is not set to 4-wheel drive, and this can be very hard on both the hubs and transfer case.
All wheels stay on the side that there on now. move front wheels to the rear and rear to the front. Do not change sides.
It could be the U joints from the transfer case causing the problem.
Take it to a garage that does alignments.
the transfer case is the 4 wheel drive unit and is attached to the transmision. under the truck it has a drive shaft going to the rear axle and one going to the front wheels it is quite a large unit hope this helps
if you can hear your transfer case kick in and your front wheels arnt kickin in theres a electronic actuater in the front end that always goes its ownly like 50-60 bucks
The actuator on the front differential may not be engaging to lock in the front axle. How can I fix it?
