Transmission fluid Honda Prelude?
Use ONLY genuine Honda ATF-Z1 fluid.
Use only genuine Honda ATF-Z1 transmission fluid. Do not use any other fluid no matter what anyone tells you is a substitute. There is no substitute for this fluid and the use of any other fluid will cause your Honda transmission to not shift properly. If you have a manual transmission, contact a Honda dealer for the correct lube or read your owners manual.
Dipstick! Honda does things different from every other brand of car...as anyone who's ever noticed that Honda puts its four-cylinder engines on the other side of the car from every other brand. And so it is with checking the transmission fluid, and in this case Honda got it right. On a Honda, transmission fluid is checked with the engine off--as opposed to every other car, where you check it when the engine's running.
Easy There is no transmissin dipstick on the Honda Prelude Model. The Hondas I have owned do not have Dipsticks. All Three of them that I have owned have had 2 Bolts in the transmission. One bolt the top one is the filler bolt the other..Lower one the drain bolt.
