No. Absolutely not. There are countless stories of Americans who started with nothing, coming from poor backgrounds, pursuing their dreams and making it big. Not too much of that going on in communism. Since the communist model discourages (even bans) private property, how can they possibly claim to allow significantly more individual freedom? Communism discourages individual freedom, and prefers a collective "hive" mentality in which its subjects are kept under strict control and kept from attaining wealth.

Not at all. Capitalism is actually the system that liberated much of China and other socialist nations after they realized how inefficient their own economic system was. It allocates wealth more efficiently to those who deserve it by working for it. Under capitalism the poor get richer by earning it. No other system can provide the means to an individual to rise so quickly from poverty into wealth.

True. Communism has no requirement to work for an employer for a wage or to be at risk of unemployment or to have to resort to food banks. Instead, people will be able to perform useful and enjoyable work, and to have ample leisure time.
