True. Many of the most intelligent people, including many scientists do not believe in God.
False.

It was the first theory that said that the universe does not revolve around the Earth; instead we revolve around the sun. It discredited many people's theories and modern belief at the time. It is also the proven theory that we believe in today.
In order to understand "false pretender" one needs to understand the historical use of the word "pretender" as in " a pretender to the throne". To be a "pretender" does not mean one is necessarily illegitimate. A "pretender to the throne" could be simply "one who claims the throne or the title". A "pretender" could be legitimate royalty. Therefore, a "false pretender" is a claimant who is not genuine, not legitimate. This all gets confusing because the word "pretender" has a different connotation today.
Yes. People (and vehicles) still need to know where they are going.
What's so strange about that? There's a whole generation today who believes in Spongebob Squarepants, a talking sponge whose buddy is a talking starfish. A talking snake is easy. Not to mention the talking "dumb... uh... donkey" who rebuked Balaam (Num.22). Assuming the Lord might deem me intelligent... I believe.
False
