Nathaniel Gorham (1738-1796)-When the Constitutional Convention was finished, Gorham retired from public life. He got heavily into land speculation in New York, but his overindulgence eventually got him into deep financial trouble. He suffered from apoplexy and died a poor man in 1796. Rufus King (1755-1827)-He was a member of the ratification convention in Massachusetts but moved to New York and became a United States Senator (1789-1795; 1813-1825). He failed to win the Federalist Party's nomination for president in 1816, but was appointed Minister to England in 1824.

The United States constitution was signed by 39 delegates during the convention. The two signers from Virginia are John Blair and James Madison, Jr.
William Houstan and William L. Pierce
That is actually a good question. Most people probablly wouldn't have an answer for this question, but I do. I believe that they were against it because there were only TWO people from Georgia that signed the U.S. Constitution.
It should be noted that only 39 delegates signed the Constitution. There is one additional signature, that of William Jackson - he was the secretary of the convention and not a delegate. Of the 55 delegates, all of them identified themselves at some point in their lives as Christians or, at the very least, Deists. The vast majority were Protestant, most being Episcopalian, with Presbyterian also making up considerable number. Only two were Roman Catholic.
The first Constitution of the State of Illinois was adopted on August 26, 1818 by vote of the members of a constitutional convention. No one signed the Constitution. The members of the convention included two or three delegates (depending on size) elected from each county in Illinois.

As a solution to this dispute, delegates agreed to what was called the Three-Fifths Compromise.
