They can be stread through direct person-to-person contact between the carrier of the virus and someone who is not infected.
They can be airborne; meaning they can be spread by water droplets that are exhaled by the infected person.
They could be spread through siliva, open cuts, etc. Wash your hands!
There are three main ways a virus can spread: person to person, environment to person and animal to person.
Person to person would be viruses that cannot survive for long outside of a host. These viruses travel in body fluids. You can catch these from contact with these body fluids. HIV is an excellent example, you can contract HIV from contact with an infected person's blood or sexual fluids but not from mosquitoes or from a doorknob. Environment to person would be viruses that can survive outside of the body. Rhinovirus (the common cold) is a good example. Rhinovirus can survive for about two days on some surfaces. You could catch a cold from a remote control, doorknob, telephone, steering wheel or any other surface that an infected person has touched. Animal to person is the least common by far. Parasite are more likely to travel person to person. It is rare for a virus to "make the jump" from one host species to another. But, this does happen as we have seen with the avian flu. It is even rarer for that virus to be able to spread to another human after making the initial "jump" but we have seen that happen too. No matter how you come in contact with a virus it is important to remember that your body has good defenses against them. Most viruses will need a port of entry into the body. The skin is too thick and well defended. Many viruses cannot survive the digestive tract either (although some certainly can.) Open sores or cuts and mucous membranes are the best way in. My CPR instructor calls paper cuts "hepatitis ports" for a reason. Do not rub your eyes (the best way in,) pick your nose or bite your nails with dirty hands. Wash your hands often, clean telephones, keyboards and doorknobs used by multiple people and let people know if you are carrying anything contagious. We cannot stop the spread of viruses but we can slow and limit it. :)
Germs are spread through many ways here is a list
.sneezing
.coughing
.sexual contact (for example rare cases such as HIV)
.body fluids
.touching a surface that has the bacteria on it
Oh and if your talking about computer virusees than :
.going onto unsafe sites
.email contacts
Viruses are microscopic parasites, generally much smaller than bacteria. They lack the capacity to thrive and reproduce outside of a host body. They are spread much like any other diseases like those caused by bacteria. There is the oral fecal route or transmission may involve fluid exchange. (HIV) And exposure to vectors contaminated by the infective agent. Vectors can be insects or other animals including humans.
Viral diseases may spread
by surface contact, like handrails in a stairway and, of course, orally, by coughing in a crowd.
Rhino virus is the name of the common cold and it can be spread in a few different ways. It is spread through the air via respiratory droplets and can be spread when someone touches a contaminated surface.
she spread the love
A. It spread in multiple ways.
In an endless amount of ways
A person must come into direct contact with a cold or flu virus, either by touching it on a surface from someone's respiratory droplets, usually from a cough or sneeze; or by touching a person who has the virus and getting it directly from them. Usually people get the virus on their hands first and then transfer it by their hands to their mucous tissue (nose, mouth, eyes). See the related questions below.
Apperentaly grass can be spread many of ways... animal droppings and humans would probably be best to describe how grass spreads.
Breast milk, semen, female secretions, and blood spread the virus. There are a number of ways that the virus may be given to you, the main being SEX (oral, anal, or vaginal).
Viral and bacterial infections are both spread in basically the same ways. A person with a cold can spread the infection by coughing and/or sneezing. Bacteria or viruses can be passed on by touching or shaking hands with another person.Feb 5, 2014Found on Netdocter.
Two examples of how computer viruses can be spread include clicking on an unsafe link within an e-mail or downloading a program or software to your computer that contains malware, spyware or another computer virus. To avoid this, make sure that you have Internet security and antivirus software on your computer and that your firewall is turned on.
because disease is not always spread through humans it can also be spread through animals, water that has be contaminated with feces and food. There are many ways for diseases to be spread
Cold sores are spread by skin-to-skin contact with an infected person, at the location where the virus is active, during a time when they are shedding virus. Just avoid skin-to-skin contact with that area.
Wash your hands cover your mouth when you cough and don't get too close to people.
