There are two types of wars: offensive wars and defensive wars. Offensive wars, for example, are when a country wages war against Another Country for imperialist or expansionist reasons, without there being a threat to the security of that country. Offensive wars can not be jusified by God or The Bible. Defensive wars, on the other hand, are when a country simply defends itself against an invading army. This type of war can be justified in the eyes of God, especially if you are fighting to protect your population and your faith from foreign invaders.

depends on your veiw on morality,

objective thinkers belive that there is a clear line - ie action x is imoral

subjective thinkers belive that a action is moral or immoral depending on the situation

if u are subjective - then look at the consequences of having a particular war and the consequences of not having a particular war and reach a conclusion on whitch i sbetter

Answer:

The Creator of the universe and all that is, including man, created in His image; our returning Faithful, True and Righteous Judge, Jesus Christ, tells us that there is:

"...I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in Righteousness He doth Judge and MAKE WAR." (Rev.19:11)

"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angles fought against the Dragon; and the Dragon fought and his angels..." (Rev.12:7).

God utterly detests "sin" [the breaking of His Commandments - I John 3:4]. And His plan is to remove sin from planet earth, where He has it confined until the He sets up court and Judges the wicked in the "Last Day" of His plan.

"...the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains of darkness unto the Judgment of the Great Day." (Jude 1:6)

Man chose another god to worship and obey in the beginning other than His Creator; "the Dragon": "...that old Serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world..." (Rev.12:9).

Man disobeyed His Creator's laws: "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."

And God's justification for war manifested itself.

"...for because of these things cometh the Wrath of God upon the children of disobedience." (Eph.5:6)

"Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your Life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, Who is our Life, SHALL APPEAR, then shall ye also appear with Him in Glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil, concupiscence [desire], and covetousness, which is idolatry: for which things' sake the Wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: in the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them." (Coloss.3:2-7)

God has all the "Justification" and "Power" to wage His Righteous and Just war against Satan and his angels who are "chained" [confined] to planet earth [under 'house arrest,' as it were], pending their trial at the Last Day. And against man's most powerful war-making capabilities... which Satan will influence man to pit against Christ when He returns, making war.

"...they are spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that Great Day of God Almighty... and they gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon." (Rev.16:14-16)

"These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are Called, and Chosen, and Faithful." (Rev.17:14)

"...out of His mouth goeth a sharp Sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the Fierceness and Wrath of God..." (Rev.19:15).

"And the remnant were slain with the Sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which Sword proceedeth out of His mouth..." (verse 21).

God's Word [His 'Sword' - Heb.4:12] warns man of His Righteous Justification for returning to earth making war. It's to "stop man's rebellious disobedience to His laws." It's to stop man's worship and obedience of other gods. It's to stop the jealousy, lust, envy and the flames of hatred that burn in disobedient men's hearts.

God is returning to earth in wrath making war... because man understands "POWER," by which his god has always so easily deceived and corrupted him.

"...and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven WITH POWER and GREAT GLORY." (Matt.24:30)

God's Power is going to bring an abrupt halt to man's power, his god's power... and their combined wicked, errant rule on earth over the past 6000 years.

Then man will remember the perverse power of his god's lust, greed and hatred... and be re-educated by God's iron rule, and learn the Power of his Creator's Love.

"...God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." (Rev.21:4)

For this end result... man's Righteous, Holy Creator is fully Justified, returning to earth in wrath, making war:

"...for these Words are True and Faithful." (verse 5)

It is all in one person's opinion. Many people say that war is not just and that each country should stick to what it has. Others say that war is just to expand territory.

Is war justifiable?

is 6 Billion+ people on earth justifiable?war is about territory and the need/fear to expand borders and assetsif there wasnt so many many people so close together there would be less warWars are always justifable to those who begin them.Wars are justified by history and those who win them.Wars are seldom just to those who suffer and die in them. Are wars justified? Well, that's something you have to answer for yourself. You can think on a high, grand level and say "Well, war gives a country some new territory." Or, you can think on the scale of the individual and think "Well, people die in wars." Personally, I think that a war is justified if the goals are realistic and manageable. Look at the war now. We can't possibly make pece in Iraq in any way short of killing them all. This war isn't quite worth it, but there are wars that are. In then end, it's your choice.War is justified when it stops certain people/powers who, if unchecked, would slaughter countless more people than it took to stop them. It is also justified in cases such as the Revolutionary war, when a country/colonies is/are wrongfully oppressed.

Why is war never justified?

There have been a few just wars in the past. War can be justified if it is waged in order to defend yourself and your country and faith from invaders. War cannot be justified when it is offensive, instead of defensive. In other words, it is wrong to wage war if no one has attacked you or your country or your faith (eg. imperialist wars cannot be justified).
