  • Their head is shaped like a hammer, hence the name.
  • Their heads are shaped like hammers, an eye on each end. They can't look forward, but can swing their hammer shaped head from side to side to search for food.
  • It looks slightly thinner than an ordinary shark but the head is shaped like a "T" with the eyes at the ends of the cross member. Sort of.
