Omron Daultec 2/4 lamp combination flasher is the relay unit that controls the turn signals and hazard.
If your hazard lights don't work but your turn signals do work it could be that your Hazard Lamp Flasher needs to be replaced. Your car has both a "hazard lamp flasher" and a "turn signal lamp flasher". Your "turn signal lamp flasher" is working but your "Hazard Lamp Flasher" may not be working. Buy a new "hazard lamp flasher" and install it. The hazard lamp flasher is located behind the instrument panel to the left of the steering column.

The turn signal flasher is incorperated with the Hazard lamp switch. The switch must be changed,then the directional lamps will work correctly.
On the 1988 sportster it is in the back of the head lamp.
Try eBay or a local junkyard or parts store when you say flasher you mean the actual box that makes the lights flash or the lamp itself?

The turn signal flasher is mounted behind the instrument panel on the driver knee bolster bracket. To replace the turn signal flasher 1) Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2) Remove the clip and flasher from the instrument panel tie bar. 3) Detach the electrical connector 4) If necessary, remove the flasher from the clip. To install: 5) If removed, install the turn signal flasher to the lamp. 6) Attach the flasher electrical connector. 7) Attach the clip to the driver knee bolster bracket. 8) Connect the negative battery cable. Try replacing the hazard flasher. If that does not work, double-check to see that you have the proper bulbs and fuses installed for the brake lamp circuit.
