The solar system in which we live is an assemblage of 8 planets and more than 40 dwarf planets orbiting the Sun, a star. There are also the moons of many of the planets and billions of comets and meteors. The solar system has a boundary of billions of comets, the Oort Cloud.
Defined, a solar system is a system of a star, or usually 2 stars, orbited by planets and dwarf planets and comets and meteor's and the planets' moons.
It's a group of planets, asteriods, meteors, moons, dwarf planets and a star. The Solar System consists of the Sun and those celestial objects bound to it by gravity: the eight planets and five dwarf planets, their 173 known moons, and billions of small bodies. The small bodies include asteroids, icy kuiper belt objects, comets, meteoroids, and interplanetary dust. The charted regions of the Solar System comprise the Sun, four terrestrial inner planets, the asteroid belt, four gas giant outer planets, and finally the Kuiper belt and the scattered disc. The hypothetical Oort cloud may also exist at a distance roughly a thousand times beyond these regions.
The solar system is a family/group of planets meteors, asteroids and much more groups in space.
They are, in order Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
Pluto is no longer a planet but classified as a dwarf planet, along with Ceres, Haumea, Makemake and Eris.
A Solar system includes only the central star and the bits that orbit it, planets (and their moons), dwarf-planets and asteroids. Comets orbit the star, but they are really visitors which may get drawn into other solar systems, so they are debatable.
A solar system describes a star and its orbiting bodies - planets, the moons of planets, asteroids, comets.
"Our" solar system includes the Sun, the planets and planetoids, the many moons of the planets, the objects in the asteroid belt, and the comets which orbit the sun, some in orbits which mean they only rarely approach the rest of the system.
The Sun is a star, just like any of the other stars you see in the night sky, only it is much closer to us than any other, which is why it provides us with light and heat.
Like all stars, the vast majority of the sun's material is Hydrogen gas. Hydrogen is the smallest and lightest of all the elements, just 1 proton and 1 electron. The mass of a star is enormous (our sun is a 'typical' average sized star and it is hundreds of thousands of times more massive than the Earth. Due to its enormous gravity, the hydrogen atoms in the center of the sun are "crushed" together so tightly that they literally fuse together (the process is called "fusion"). It is a nuclear reaction which releases a large amount of energy. The explosive (outward) force from fusion counterbalances the inward force from gravity, so the star maintains its spherical shape.
During the fusion process, other heavier elements are created. When 2 hydrogen atoms fuse together, they form helium. Helium then fuses to form heavier elements, and so on. In fact, most or all of the elements that are found in the universe (for example, the iron found on the earth) was created by fusion inside of stars.
Nonetheless, even though new elements are created inside stars, the vast majority of the Sun's material is still hydrogen gas.
The Solar System is the gravitationally bound system comprising the Sun and the planets, moons, dwarf planets and other objects that orbit it.
Of those objects that orbit the Sun directly, the largest eight are the planets, with the remainder being significantly smaller objects, such as dwarf planets and small Solar System bodies.
The 8 major known planets in order from the Sun are:
1. Mercury
2. Venus
3. Earth
4. Mars
5. Jupiter
6. Saturn
7. Uranus
8. Neptune
If you list ALL 13 known planets in order, including dwarf planets, they are:
1. Mercury
2. Venus
3. Earth
4. Mars
5. Ceres
6. Jupiter
7. Saturn
8. Uranus
9. Neptune
10. Pluto
11. Haumea
12. Makemake
13. Eris
Dwarf planets also fall under the category of minor planets, of which there are thousands in our solar system. As of 2017, the orbits of 734,274 minor planets were archived at the Minor Planet Center, 496,815 of which had received permanent numbers. The largest minor planet that is not considered to be a dwarf planet is Sedna.
The Solar System is our Sun, the planets:Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, the stars, asteroids, comets, and meteors in our section of space.
The Sun together with the group of celestial bodies that are held by its attraction and revolve around it, or a group of celestial bodies revolving around any star.
The solar system is a family of the sun including the planets, satellites, etc.
the sun is solar energy so God made it. i tottaly agree with you! God made sun and the sun made solar energy..... :] bless youu
Solar power has been made since the first star ignited.
The first solar cell was made by Charles Fritts in 1883. He created junctions by putting a very thin coat of gold on selenium.
The Sun has about 99.86% of the mass in the solar system.
Solar panels are not found in nature naturally it is made by a polish chemist.
9 but also classed as 8 as Pluto is a dwarf planet:)
What is a Total Quality Management System?
yes
The solar system is made out of things lol
the solar system is made by ALLAH (S.W.t) he maade it !!
the sun is solar energy so God made it. i tottaly agree with you! God made sun and the sun made solar energy..... :] bless youu
the first solar pannel was made in 1534 lol hehehe
No one. The question should be 'what made the solar system'. Answer: Big bang
Solar power comes from the sun.
How is solar energy made
Solar cells (also known as photovoltaic cells) are made of solar cells. To be more specific, they are made of slices of a semiconductor with a metal layer.
Solar power has been made since the first star ignited.
