∙ 12y agoShe was a patriot even though she had English ancestry she was wife of John Adams and he was a patriot and she supported him. Abigail Adams was a Patriot for one major reason, because she was an Advocate, someone who believed in their rights very strongly. If she was a loyalist then she would go by the law/rules but since she's not she stands up for what she beleives in. She doesnt get pushed around which is basically what loyalists did, but they say they are being loyal to their country. Abigail also belived in womens writes and believed that slaves should be free. This also shows why Abigail Adams was a Patriot.
