No, I do not even think he even considered it. Not even when his, by then, allied Russia started the war. He was too busy taking over Denmark and Norway by then. And he 'negotiated' troops and materials to be transferred over (the eledgeby 'neutral') Sweden's soil. --- Also, Finland was at war with the USSR and allied with Germany, for the purpose of independence from the USSR. This started with the Winter War (1939-1941) and ended with the continuation war (1941-1945). It lost little land to the USSR, in the end.
